I will try to use my own knowledge and criticism about the country and people in turmoil. Some scholarly articles on Afghanistan published shortly after 9/11 will be used to provide a social and historical context of use for Hosseinis novel.Lastly, I will use both scholarly articles and books to apologize the concept of sentimentality and emotional narratives, and their cultural importance, which will help me moreover articulate my critical approach to Hosseinis text.
